Please feel free to contact us in the first instance if you have any concerns or questions about safeguarding or welfare. You can contact us about yourself or anyone else. One of us is available at most club training sessions.

We follow Welsh Athletics guidance regarding safeguarding and welfare – we suggest all members familiarise themselves with this on joining and at regular intervals.

If your concern is urgent (immediate harm to a child or adult at risk), please contact the police on 999 or 101. For Urgent Safeguarding Concern or Welfare emergencies, refer to the flow chart below.

If there are welfare concerns about a child or adult at risk (not immediate danger), contact social services. Use the local authority finder for relevant social services.

The Wales Safeguarding Procedures provides details on Child Protection, Adult at Risk policies and procedures in Wales. Danny Williams is the UKA (UK Athletics) Lead Safeguarding Officer and all safeguarding concerns relating to children or adults at risk are reported in the UKA Safeguarding Team in the first instance.

Carl Williams is the Welsh Athletics Safeguarding and Compliance Officer, if you have any queries or issues, contact him on safeguardingandwelfare@welshathletics.org or 07792 242153.
